  1. Which of the seven essays from Fingerprint provides a perspective on the handmade that is especially novel to you? Elaborate.
  2. Do you consider Warren Berger’s list of four things about designers to characterize you? Why or why not?
  3. In this set of two readings, what one sentence is most meaningful to you? Why?

From Fingerprint, I think the letter H is especially novel to me. At the beginning, the handwriting is corresponding to the content, where the author is talking about her doodle childhood.  As the context flow, the author grows up. It is changed to be in more recognizable typeface.

Yes, more or less I do consider about what Berger said to characterize me. In Berger’s article, Designers care is the most thing fitting in my character. Indeed, as a designer, I can’t stop noticing all the imperfections in the world and always ask “why” and “what if”. It is a sort of instinct to be a designer, to create the new.

The most meaningful sentence to me is the joke questions. ” How many designers does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: Does it have to be a light bulb?”

It is a good way of thinking. Everything, now, in the world, is a temporary and changeable condition. In order to create better future, designers recognize the reality and try to make it better.
